20 - 26 april

Not much time to blog. It's almost 2 AM already. Have to go to bed asap! I was browsing about my trip to Shenzhen... Love to search for everything there is available!

This week was pretty standard (haha). On wednesday it was "Earth day". Don't know exactly what that means, but I took a photo for a website of a guy who wanted to know what "my" earth was. It's my view from our living room. It was already a bit late... The thursday picture is of Mean and Joly the Cairn Terrier, her big friend, sleeping in Means bed. She loves to go to bed with a doggie, because then she's not so scared. On saturday we had an obedience venue, I have made lots of gorgeous photos with my zoomlens. The sunday photo is of Diya, the mother of Joly. I just love this photo...

13 - 19 april

Another busy week :-)
On monday, second easter day, we had the traditional Woldendorp egg hunt with the easter bunny. Shen is a fanatic little boy, Mean doesn't care a bit. On tuesday Rudy had his hot balloon air ride at last. It was a gift for his brother because of the help he gave Rudy, but they had to wait for it for almost a year.
Mean goes to a friend of us on wednesdays, to clean the stable and take care of the horses. At the end she's allowed to ride on one of them. Mommy had to see this when she picked her up of course. On thursday we ate pancakes. Nothing special, but my pancakes are really nice! I placed my "old" Canon EOS 350d on marktplaats.nl on friday very early (in fact thursday night). Let's hope I get some money for it. Mean had her first agility training on saturday with Joly. I made this shot afterwards. On sunday the weather was really nice, as all days last week, and we did some chores in the garden. Mean loves to ride the mowing machine, it goes really slow, but she does the job really nice!

6 - 12 april

This was a nice, festive week. On monday I picked up the birthday cake for Shen. He celebrated his 6th birthday on tuesday. He wanted to have a "Vincent van God" birthday cake. They had a project at school a few weeks ago about Vincent van Gogh, the painter, so there came his inspiration. I ordered the cake with a print of a painting of Vincent van Gogh and picked it up on monday. On tuesday we celebrated Shen's birthday. On wednesday I picked up Fransisca very early in the morning to bring her to her mother. She lives near us, and her mother lives near my work. So when she wants, I take her to her mother, and take her back the same day or some days later. On thursday we had a dinner with some colleagues because of the departure of one of them. It was a great dinner! On Good Friday we had the children's birthday party in a playground in Beerta. The kids had lots of fun, had lemonade, ice cream, chips and fries and some slept when we returned by car. On saturday the weather was extremely nice. A lot of flowers are already blooming in our garden. Easter sunday was a nice day too, Mean painted some eggs early in the morning, in the afternoon we had dinner with our fathers, the granddads, outside on the terrace. I don't know if we ever had dinner outside so early in the year. It was a nice week, yes it was!

30 maart - 5 april

On monday I went to two stores to check into netbooks and small camera's. On tuesday I bought a Packard Bell Dot netbook, and a Fuji camera, to take with me on my trip to China. On wednesday Mean showed me she could make a real salto on the trampoline, it was awesome! When I came home on thursday, the kids and daddy had shopped for plants, and on thursday it looked like this on our terrace. Friday was a day with very nice weather. I went to shop again, and bought a Kipling backpack for half-prize. It was a colour of last season, but I really liked it! Super deal! On saturday Rudy told me their was spawn in the water of the dog training field, so Shen and Rudy went out to catch some in two pots. One for school, the other for in our home. We release them as soon as they hatch of course! On sunday we had a reunion of our China travel group. The kids had lots of fun, the photo is of the three Shenzhen kids.
